Sing The Blues, Country Boy

from The Sound Of Lonesome by Dusty Woods

/

about

Lively country shuffle about loving and losing - she's gone, she's not coming back; sing the blues, country boy. Typical bar-band music with a danceable beat.

lyrics

She was the only love you've ever known,
And that’s why it hurts to wake up and find that you’re alone,
You loved her then you lost her, now it’s through,
And you know there’s only one thing you can do.

Refrain:
Well, sing the blues, country boy, a song about being alone,
All about trembling fingers that keep reaching for the phone,
I know it hurts to lose her, she was your pride and joy,
Come on sing the blues, country boy.

Another love has made her heart grow cold,
And she left you in the shadows, feeling tired and old.
It’s always hard to take it when you find
That you’re just another memory left behind.

Refrain:
So sing the blues, country boy, a song about being alone,
All about trembling fingers that keep reaching for the phone,
I know it hurts to lose her, she was your pride and joy,
Come on sing the blues, country boy.
Well now, come on sing those blues, country boy.
