about

Losing and spirituality thought a whiskey haze. Classic bar-band country with high lonesome, cry-in-your-beer vocal.

lyrics

I’ve been high all night long, trying to hide my feelings in a song,
Coming up with all kinds of wrong things to say,
One more room all alone, I’m drunk and lonely to the bone,
Lord it’s 3 A.M. and I just forgot how to pray.

Chorus:
When I get to drinkin’, to keep myself from thinkin’,
You wouldn’t want to know me, I’m poor company.

Livin’ from a glass just ain’t right, seems I’m gettin’ lower every night,
I wish these whiskey chains would set me free,
I don’t know why I left you and then, I had to choose a barstool for my friend,
But I guess the Lord needs a few bad examples like me.

(chorus)

That’s my last quarter now it’s gone, jukebox play me a goodnight song,
Maybe I can sleep if I just have one more round,
Waitress come and sit here by me I shouldn’t be alone in my misery,
You may be the last to watch a good man goin’ down.

Chorus:
When I get to drinkin’, to keep myself from thinkin’,
You wouldn’t want to know me, I’m poor company.
You wouldn’t want to know me, I’m poor company.
