Nothing's Changed

from The Sound Of Lonesome by Dusty Woods

/

about

Something different - a BB King-style slow blues but with a bit of country twang. She's gone, he's still here and it's just the same ol', same ol'. Gives "I Understand" a run for best song on the album.

lyrics

Well hello there, my old friend,
It’s so good to hear from you again,
Hope life’s treating you kind,
But as for me and mine, well
Nothing’s changed.

I’m still here and she’s still gone,
You know, love comes and goes but the blues stay on and on,
Well, that’s the word, at least that’s what I’ve heard,
You know, nothing’s changed.

Bridge:
When I’m down, the blues come around,
Just to keep me company.
Well, I’ve heard everything has to end,
But you know, the blues are my faithful friends,
How lucky can one man be?

Well, it’s been so nice to talk to you,
But I’ve gotta go now and spend some time with my blues,
You know, it was a ball, but after all,
Well, nothing’s changed
Well, I appreciate your call, ah, but you know after all,
Nothing’s changed.
