Next Time For Sure

from The Sound Of Lonesome by Dusty Woods

/

about

Pure honky-tonk shuffle about a rocky love affair. Provides most of your daily requirement of Telecaster twang.

lyrics

Refrain:
This time I almost made it all the way out the door,
Some day I swear I’m gonna leave you, next time for sure.

I’ve heard the rumors about your running 'round,
They say you’ve had adventures on the cheatin’ side of town,
If I were you I know I’d feel ashamed,
The whole town’s talkin’ about you and what’s-his-name.

(Refrain)

I see them laughin’ when I walk by with you,
I don’t wanna believe it, but I guess it might be true,
Well, you must think I’m just your lovesick clown,
Our love’s becoming the gossip of the town.

Refrain
This time I almost made it, all the way out the door,
Some day I swear I’m gonna leave you, next time for sure.
I know I've said it every time before, but next time for sure.
