I Don't Mind

from Patchwork by Dusty Woods

/

about

(4:01) I'd give all I own to see you happy / go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind... Sometimes it's nobler to step aside. Slow country ballad, with a classic weeper vocal, Sons of the Pioneers harmonies and a good beat for dancing.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Today I saw you with another
And the smile on your face looked so fine
I'd give all I own to see you happy
Go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind.

Verse 2:
It's been comin' for so long, we've both seen it;
I knew you'd be gone when it was time.
Don't be concerned if you should see me cryin'
Go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind.

Bridge
Oh please, don't make it seem too sudden
When you turn and walk away this time.
Give me a chance to get used to life without you
Then go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind.

Verse 3
I hope the new love that you found makes you happy
I should hate you, but you know I'm not that kind
I'll just go and make room for him in your new life
Go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind.
Go ahead and break my heart, I don't mind.
