Whiskey And Women
02:47
|
|||
Verse 1:
Whiskey and women, don't you know they're killing me
Whiskey and women, Lord, you know they're killing me
One's going to get me first, I wonder which one it will be.
Verse 2
Whiskey and women, I've been addicted most all my life
Whiskey and women, I've been addicted most all my life
I just gotta have them, Lord, you know that just ain't right.
Verse 3
I'd quit them both tomorrow if I could only find a way
I'd quit them both tomorrow if I could only find a way
Ah, but whiskey and women, they'll be with me 'till my dying day
'Till my dying day.

Too Early Blues
02:27
|
|||
Chorus:
It's much too early for you to go home
It’s a beautiful evening, I hate to spend it alone
If you're worried about your mama, you can telephone
It's much too early for you to go home
Verse 1
The moon is shining through the window now
Wasn't it the sun when we started out?
You say your mama will worry if you don't go now
Give me one more kiss, we'll explain it somehow.
Chorus:
It's much too early for you to go home
It’s a beautiful evening, I hate to spend it alone
If you're worried about your mama, you can telephone
It's much too early for you to go home
Verse 2
All the hugging and kissing, don't want to turn you loose
You can be just a little bit late, we'll find an excuse
You look so pretty I can't let you go
So sit back down here another minute or so
Chorus:
'Cause it's much too early for you to go home
It’s a beautiful evening, I hate to spend it alone
If you're worried about your mama, you can telephone
It's much too early for you to go home

Flirtin' With The Blues
04:25
|
|||
Verse 1:
Well, when a man lose his woman, no telling what he might do
Well, when a man lose his woman, there's no telling what he might do
Well since I lost you, baby, I've been flirtin' with the blues
Verse 2
If you see me sneakin, Mama, turn your lamp down low
If you see me sneakin, Mama, turn your lamp down low
When I'm flirtin' with the blues, I don't want no one to know.
Verse 3
Well, you don't want me mama, you say you don't like my style
Well, you don't want me baby, you say you don't like my style
Well, I'm Daddy's pride and joy, Mama's sweet angel child.
Verse 4:
Well, when a man lose his woman, there's no telling what he might do
Well, when a man lose his woman, there's no telling what he might do
Since I lost you, baby, I've been flirtin' with the blues

Hard-Lovin' Woman
03:32
|
|||
Verse 1:
Gal I'm lovin' she's so good for me,
Might not be every man's cup of tea
But she's my baby, and she loves me just fine
I'm talkin' about that hard-lovin' woman of mine.
Verse 2:
Well, she brings me hot coffee, rubs my feet
Tell me what more could any man need
She's my baby, while I walk the line
I'm talkin' about that hard-lovin' woman of mine
Bridge:
Don't need no high fashion to make her look good
Just needs a woman love me the way she should
I got a woman treats me right
From the early, early morning 'til late at night
Verse 3:
Gal I'm lovin she's too good for me
I'm sorry guys, but the girl ain't free
She's my baby, and she will be for all time
I'm talkin' about that hard-lovin' woman of mine.
Bridge:
Don't need no high fashion to make her look good
Just need a woman love me the way she should
Hey, I got a woman treats me right
From the early, early morning 'til... you know
Verse 4:
Gal I'm lovin she's too good to me
I'm sorry guys, but the girl ain't free
She's my baby, and she will be for all time
Yeah, I'm talkin' about that hard-lovin' woman of mine.

Stormy Blues
04:57
|
|||
Verse 1:
Bad storm's coming, blues falling down like rain
Bad storm's coming, blues falling down like rain
Your bags are packed and ready,
Looks like you're leaving me again
Verse 2
Lonesome wind is blowing, it's blowing across my mind
Lonesome wind is blowing, it's blowing across my mind
You say you love me mama,
But why'd you treat me so unkind
So unkind
Verse 3
Blues all around me, just like a bad old hurricane
Blues all around me, just like a bad old hurricane
How can a sweet looking woman
Cause a poor man so much pain
So much pain

Wrong Side Of Midnight
04:24
|
|||
Verse 1:
Lonely streets and sidewalks
With no direction left to choose,
Down to just regrets now,
Nothing more to lose,
I'm on the wrong side of midnight
With nothing but the blues.
Verse 2:
Wish I had her here now,
Wishing just don't do no good,
She thinks I don't love her,
Did I do all that I could?
On the wrong side of midnight,
Feelin' so misunderstood.
Verse 3:
Rain falling down now,
Feel so lonely to the bone,
Baby said she loved me,
Oh but baby, now she's gone,
It's the wrong side of midnight
Time for me to just be gone,
Yeah, I'm on the wrong side of midnight,
Might as well go back home.

Dusty Woods Clementsvale, Nova Scotia
Born in BC, Canada in 1947, Dusty started performing in bands in his early teens. He was always honing his craft, learning
stagecraft from more experienced performers.
Dusty passed away in Nova Scotia in 2017. The man is gone, but his music lives on. Dusty's online presence is managed by Mrs. Dusty (Jeri-Lynn Woods). My goal is to share the magic and keep the Dusty Woods legacy alive.
